Introducing...

It is my absolute pleasure to introduce Honey's baby brother Ace Danger Gore to you all. Ace was born at 5:02am on Saturday 19th March, just 5 hours past his due date! He weighed in at 8lb 4oz and arrived with a head of gorgeous, dark hair. We are all totally in love with him, Honey's first words no seeing him were "he's so cute" followed by "I love your shoes" - definitely my daughter!

Nice to meet you...

If you know us, you'll know that we like slings and baby carriers rather a lot! My husband jokes that we have our own sling library these days and I suppose that's close to the truth, as I just want to try as many different types as possible! While we have bought a range to be going on with, I will definitely be trying some of the ones i'm not sure about through Cheltenham and Gloucester Sling Library

I took Ace to his first Sling Meet at just two days old, he slept through the entire thing but I had fun catching up with friends and chatting to parents who were new to carrying. The library is run by volunteers at Axiom Arts in Cheltenham twice per month and in Quedgeley Village Hall once per month. At the sessions, you can speak to qualified Sling Consultants and Peer Supporters and get help with the sling or carrier of your choice. Attendance is only £2 per family, which includes tea and biscuits, as well as the help and advice of trained volunteers, what a bargain!

Relax...

I have been wanting to have a treatment at The Chamomile Rooms for a long time but somehow life took over and I never got round to it so I was delighted to be treated to a course of pregnancy massage and reflexology by my Mum and Dad! The Nurture 4 Life experience starts with (limited) free parking outside, this may not sound like much but when you're carrying a watermelon, the option to drive instead of walk (especially afterwards when you're feeling a bit spaced out) is very attractive! The moment you walk into the waiting room, a feeling if calm washes over you and this is only heightened when you go into one of the cosy treatment rooms. Nicky is great at putting people at ease and we were soon chatting away as if we'd known each other for years (well, we had met on Twitter but I don't think that really counts).

The treatments themselves are personalised to suit any specific problem areas you may have at that time and Nicky adjusts the pressure depending on how delicate (or not) you may be feeling on the day. You can book single treatments or purchase a package to take you through your pregnancy and beyond. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful sanctuary right on our doorstep and I can see their gift vouchers appearing on my Christmas and Birthday lists in the future!

Honey has enjoyed this treat too as it means she gets to spend time with Gaga while I go off to be pampered!

Nurse Honey will see you now...

One of my maternity leave missions is to make as many special memories this time, as I have from my time off with Honey. So, when the lovely Gill from Mouse About Town got in touch with a proposition, the only answer was yes please!  You might remember some beautiful photos we had taken by Gill at our Sling Beat flash mob in Brasserie Blanc in August 2014 and at the launch of The Mouse Hole back in November 2014 so we were excited to see what she had in mind for us this time.

On arrival, Honey began chatting for England as usual and couldn't wait to get dressed up for her role as Nurse Honey! She loved delving into the bag of props available but was so excited to choose the next object, that Gill had to be faster than lightening as she clicked! Unsurprisingly, Honey went on to direct her own section of the shoot, exclaiming over the varied and plentiful supply of props in Gill's 'treasure cupboard' and coming up with her own unique ways of using them (did you know it's possible to hear the sea through a horn)?

We loved our studio experience, the warm, chilled out atmosphere made it easy to relax and Gill's quiet suggestions helped with making sure she got the best photos possible without making us feel like we were being 'posed'. We have some beautiful pictures to add to our album and to show baby brother how his big sister looked out for him even before he arrived! H
ead over to the Mouse About Town Facebook page to see the full Nurse Honey gallery, as well as lots of Gill's other fantastic work and to enter her competition to win a photo shoot at the new Pitville play area this summer!

Sharing is caring...

We have really enjoyed sharing our latest batch of Child's Farm samples. I've been popping samples in with baby items I've sold on Facebook, giving them to friends and sharing packs at toddler classes. It's really easy to be enthusiastic about theses fabulous products as they totally do what they say on the tin (bottle) and the feedback from those who have received samples has echoed that. The hair detangler has been a favourite this time round and has definitely gained a few new fans for it's stellar performance on "crazy, curly hair", as has the moisturiser which is super gentle so great for anyone suffering with skin conditions like eczema.

If anyone is thinking of ordering anything from the Child's Farm website, please feel free to use my ambassador code CFAMB39 which will give you 30% off at the checkout.

*Although as Brand Ambassadors, we were given a range of products and samples, all opinions expressed in this blog are my own.

Snack time...

Sometimes, Honey claims hatred of such innocuous foods that she's previously (like an hour ago) devoured that doubt crossed my mind as I read the flavour combinations on the packages of some of our Heavenly Tasty Organics snacks. The fruit pouches were a guaranteed hit but how would she react to 'sweet beet and shallot crispy veggie waffles' or 'spinach, apple and kale wafers'? As it turns out, she attacked each new snack with gusto and devoured them all muttering adjectives like "yummy, tasty, delicious and scrumptious!" We will definitely be keeping these as part of our snack repertoire and look forward to telling you all about new products and flavours in the future!

*Although we were given a range of snacks in order to be able to write a review, all opinions expressed in this blog are my own.
